Making your thoughts and feelings visible on a page of
paper, for others to see and make judgments about, is a vulnerable and scary
experience. When Peck said, “Words and
writing are one way that we tap into our soul and ideas…” I thought this was
totally true for anyone that writes something that they care about. Through the writing process, the words on the
page become a piece of them. I have
found this true for myself while free writing and drafting my memoir. Sometimes I don’t even know what I’m thinking
until I can see what I’m thinking in
actual words. I also thought Peck’s
concern and honest love for all of the new, struggling writers in the world was
refreshing, and something that you don’t see every day on the internet.

It's so true. Most of the time we don't understand what we are thinking until we write it. I liked her article too and how she was so concerned with all of us new writers.
