Sean Thueson Per.1

This article was one of the best that I have read about the topic of writing. Sarah's post had lots of detail about writing and how it is, ". . . an act of bravery" It was very insightful and there were some points that I took out of her post.

The first point that I got out was a point that Sarah really hit on at the begging of her post. "Writing is an act of bravery." I never thought of writing this way but every time I think about it I see how this is true. Everyone takes a step of bravery whenever they write they could be writing about their personal life, for a project in school or a job, etc. Every time someone begins to write they show bravery by willingly saying something that will be read by others.

The second point was that we should, "Write to discover." When we write we can learn new things about ourselves or others. An example could be the memoirs that we wrote. When I was writing my memoir, I was able to discover some things that I never thought about in my life. Writing gives you the opportunity of going out and learn something that you never knew before.
