Tezzy Lopez Period 5
"You cannot control what happens to you in life, but you can always control what you will feel and do about what happens to you." This was my favorite line from the entire blog. Sarah put this into words so beautifully. Writing goes along with this quote. You can control what you think and feel and it's an amazing thing when you can write it down on paper. Writing is a way that we can let other people into our lives and give them a sneak peak of important themes or events in our life. Under the 'Write to Discover' paragraph, I realized how much I didn't know about how I felt about a certain situation until I wrote about it. Morning pages is a simple version of this writing to discover exercise. I surprise myself everyday in english by some of the things that come out in my writing. "Writing is a spiritual practice, a soul-cleansing, deep-dive into the emotions and ideas we might not even be at first aware that we have." This quote explains what writing can do to us without having to work so hard to force it out of ourselves. There's no question that writing, in every inch of the spectrum, is an act of bravery.
