Ashley DeMann period 5

This blog is written well, and helped me see how important writing can be. " Writing is a time to discover, and explore your thoughts."  She has this dead on.  I don't write a lot anymore, but when I did write I'd write down ideas I didn't even know I had.  There's something about physically writing down thoughts that spurs on other thoughts and leads to something greater.  It's your own little inspiration.  Even though the words you put down might not be what you were planning on writing, they tend to be directly from your soul.  They are the truest words we have.  "Words and writing are one way that we tap into our soul and ideas—words are a connection device between humans, a way to tell stories and share parts of ourselves with other people." I think we don't always understand or know who we are until its written out for us.  You can clearly see yourself when its laid out in words. "Perhaps we are afraid of writing because we're afraid of knowing our own story." That could be the very reason that why we don't pencil out our thoughts and stories.  We could be scarred to really see who we are.  We don't want to think about the events that really make us who we are.

  1. I absolutely loved how you said that we are not sure who we are until we can see it written out. Once we start free writing and spit out the first couple of sentences, we start writing about how we really feel. We get to see whats in the deepest parts of our minds. I liked how you related this into your life and also made me realize how it is related to mine.
