Cody Lightfoot, Period 5
The line " the beauty of writing is that we can often make our way out of suffering through the act of writing itself and often just by writing alone" really stood out to me! This is true because when I write my feelings really come out on the page. I like the way that this article talks about how writing can be helpful and worth my time. I really do not like writing very much, but this may help me get more motivated to write. I feel like I am a fairly strong writer and i hope to become better.

I like what you had to say about the article Cody! I feel the same because I also feel the same way when I am writing. Whenever I write, I feel like I can show more of myself and put more feelings out then when I am talking or socializing. I do agree that writing is definitely worthwhile and can help us out in the long run! Also I am on the same boat, I do not love writing but after reading the piece, I feel more motivated and inspired to write more.

Cody I agree with how you feel that your emotions come out more when you write than when you talk to someone I feel like I am the same way. I liked also that your not afraid to say that you are a fairly good writer and that you feel like this article is going to help you become a stronger writer. I agreed because as I kept reading I realized things that could help me with my writing.

Great way to put it Cody. After reading what you wrote I see more clearly that we all write with emotion. I'm just like you writing is not the best thing in the world! But thinking of the quote more I how much writing is just a reflection of who we all are individually.
