Jacob Sutter Period 3
It really stuck out to me when she said we are afraid of what we will discover or become when we bring up terrifying thoughts. I tend to to become stuck when writing, not because I'm lost for words but simply don't want to bring up the past emotion or memory. Another part that really caught my eye was when she said, "Writing is a spiritual practice, a soul-cleansing, deep-dive into the emotions and ideas we might not even be at first aware that we have". This is because I have a hard time giving up that emotion but I have learned that once I do that paper becomes mine, it shows who I am as a person and a writer. It tells me things about myself I have always overlooked.

I feel like you really understood what the author was trying to say and can really relate to it, you really show it in this post. I agree that bringing up the past can be a real challenge that you may not want to overcome but it seems that writing is the best way to do it because as you quoted: "Writing is a spiritual practice..." I also like how you show how papers you write become much more than just some paper when real thought gets put into it.
