Marni Harbrecht Period 3

This article posed as a major impact on what writing is to me. Often times people see writing as something far too difficult to grasp or gain an appreciation for as a whole. But in a different light, writing is something personal, a mountain someone climbs that involves personal moments, bravery to face criticism, and surprising one's self of your own capabilities. Words, obviously play the role of what writing can and will become.  Without the words that are spoken or written on paper each day our lives would be silenced moments without expressed feelings. "Only when we're brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our life." said Brene Brown is a great expression of what bravery can do for a writer. Each of us find our "acts of bravery" when we come out and write because writing involves personal events, personal moments, and personal feelings. As Sarah states the impact of bravery, words, and "diving into your soul" to find the words that best express what you want to tell the world from one small person's perception.

  1. I really loved how you said that writing is like a mountain being climbed, with personal moments and you surprise yourself with your own capability. I truly believe if we are honest and really put our feelings on the page, a great passage can be created. By simply writing something down, we are making ourselves better writers each day.
