"Forces beyond your control can take everything you possess except one thing, your freedom to choose how you will respond to the situation. You cannot control what happens to you in life, but you can always control what you will feel and do about what happens to you." I think from of all that was said by the author of this passage, this definitely struck me the most. I say this because it is nothing but the truth and can relate to anything in our life. We always have to be positive or at least have a good attitude/self control in order to be respected whether it be in writing or socially contact with people. We never know what will be taken away from us when, so we have to be grateful for what we have been given and not take it for granted. Use it to your full advantage, in a case of writing you could by just talking about after something good or bad happens to you and what benefits or lessons you learned from it, not having pride or seeking pity from people.
"Words and writing are one way that we tap into our soul and ideas—words are a connection device between humans, a way to tell stories and share parts of ourselves with other people." I also liked this quote since I have never realized this and I found this rather intriguing. Writing can really show parts of people that you could never see in person, it is a way to dig into the deepest part of somebodies heart and their feelings toward something or someone. Also something else I got out of this quote is that not only we can dig deep into our heart but also come up with great ideas, which instead of just having it be a thought, you can write it down and expand on it even more.

This line stuck out to me too. I think back on what happened at state to me and I cant control what happened. If I still want to wrestle then I have to do a lot of work to be prepared to wrestle in college. That is why this line stuck out to me.
