Nayt Leithead Period 5

As I was reading Sarah Peck's letter I really enjoyed what she had to say about writing. It was something that I could relate to and was a cool way to look at it as a whole. One of the first things to stand out to me was, oddly enough, the title. I never really thought that "Writing is act of bravery." Writing is like talking, just on paper. It takes courage to express your thoughts openly and put them against someone else's. Sharing your feelings and stories takes guts. Letting just anyone look into a part of your life and head is not an easy thing to do, yet alone willingly. I never really thought about that until I read it. Do we dare to wonder out loud? I loved her view on what writing is. She had a wonderful thought that writing in the "place where I’m allowed to think what I think, write what I want to write, and tell the stories no matter how fantastical or horrible they might feel. I have permission to explore these ideas, without consequence." I love the freedom that it creates. She just gets me and it's wonderful.
