Will Matthews, Period 5
This article really helped me realize how much writing means to other people, and how much it should mean to me. Peck reflects that writing is a way to discover yourself, to make realizations about yourself so raw and uncultured that you never would have guessed them had you not written them down yourself. I think it is a very valuable skill to be able to know yourself on a deeper level, and it is a skill I intend to improve on.I also liked how Peck shows that truly good writing is honest. It is hard to do good work at writing if you are not being honest with yourself or your audience.

I'm not sure how this works, but this is James Kener and I think that Will's post was great. I love your use of vocabulary and the way you can thoughtfully explain yourself. Thanks for being so easy to understand and genuine in your post.
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you related writing to learning about yourself on a deeper level because this is so true. When you finally begin to write something down it may scare you because you didn't even know that idea was inside of your own head. I also liked how you said that writing is honest. Sometimes we might be afraid to tell the truth but if you write it down the truth will speak for itself.
