Kaycee M. Period 5
Patrick Madden wrote an entire essay about how to write a meaningful essay, how very inspirational. When I think of writing an essay, I think of how difficult it is to find a topic that I want to write about that other people can still relate to. Madden said "A successful commonplace essay will gather memories and researches, attach ideas and stories and build upward, toward meaning." To me, this means that anything can become a story as long as the writer uses the correct technique and gives it life. Now, finding an idea for an essay can be as simple as looking up at the sky, or watching an advertisement on television, or even admiring your baby sister sleeping. Patrick Madden inspired me to look around at the world. There is beauty in everything on this Earth if you just look with the right eye. "The world exists. Why recreate it?... The real story isn't the drama of what happens; it's what we're thinking about while nothing, or very little, is happening." So look at the world around you for inspiration, you never know what idea might come to you.
