Hannah Evans Period 3

The parts really stood out to me while reading this blog.  The first part was the paragraph about how we are afraid to write because we are afraid to tell our story.  She said "We're scared that we won't capture the ideas or know what to say".  When I read this I thought that is totally me.  I feel like the creative juices flowing through my head can't be written on a piece of paper, only because I feel like when they come out on paper, they won't be what I intended. I second part that I connected with was when she said "As we uncover the deeper truths and ideas—we become aware of who we are, and possibly the painful moments within us that have been buried for so long."   When I read this part of the blog I realized that I do this all the time, but unintentionally. I went back and read through my journal to see if I could find the deeper truths and ideas. As I was reading I began to see all the little details about my writing and myself that I didn't notice before. When we write it is easy to just pass over the details and ideas, but if you really search for it you can find it, and change the way you see yourself as a writer.

  1. I didn't ever think about going back in my Journal to find myself. I guess that would be something to look at.
