This is one line that stood out to me: "Words and writing are one way that we tap into our soul and ideas—words are a connection device between humans, a way to tell stories and share parts of ourselves with other people." I think that writing is a great way to discover our thoughts and opinions. Sometimes we don't know what we think until we start writing. Free-writing has been a great tool for me to get my thoughts out on paper and find out what I really want to say. If I worry excessively about what others will think about my writing, I have difficulty expressing my true thoughts. My writing is supposed to reflect who I really am, so it's important to just let it flow!

That was one of my favorite quotes from the entire article. I agree with your thoughts on free-writing because I too use it as a way to get my true thoughts and feelings out on a paper. I also have difficulty expressing my true thoughts and emotions when it comes to writing so I really relate to your comment.

I really enjoyed your thoughts. They made me think about life and writing a little bit differently. Free writing is a great way to get my thoughts out. I am not a very articulate writer but free writing does help. Thanks Hayden.
