I had trouble reading this article the first time around. But after I started to grasp the concept a little more, I started to enjoy the article. I really liked how Patrick Madden said "Essayist are keen observers of the overlooked, ignored, the seemingly unimportant." Because reading essay does not seem very interesting, but when written well it can be. I also like how he went into talking about how he likes when and essayists takes a small subject and goes very deep into it and makes it interesting for the reader. Because I think that is very relatable. I felt like the article was a good read and I liked the authors writing style.
